How I spent my summer 2016

How I Spent My Summer 2016

How is Summer 2016 already over? Not sure I am ready for the winter and if you live in Canada, you know it is getting chilly FAST. There are warning signs of an extreme winter in Canada and also in the UK but before we start worrying about that, here’s how I spent my summer 2016. Let’s relieve together.

Traveling & Seeing Awesome Places

As you may have already figured, a huge part of my summer was spent traveling. From having an incredible girls-only trip in the beautiful Island of The Bahamas to spending my 25th birthday in Miami and collecting memories in Vancouver, Boston, New York, Great times with Mother Nature and then recently, Atlanta, I gathered so many fun memories that will live with me for a long, long time.

Graduation From Business School

I bagged a Masters Degree in Global Business and I went back to school for the convocation ceremony. Definitely one of my highlights of my summer. Celebrating with family and friends is always a good idea!

Education is the movement from darkness to light

New Job and Moving To A New Place

I was just telling Alma (check her out guys, her style is amazing.) the other day how I had moved Nine (9) times since 2015. As you can imagine, it is never easy to move that much but change is good. This time, I was moving for a new job and that is always something to be happy about.

Don’t be afraid of change, you may end up losing something good but you will probably end up gaining something better

Reading Amazing Books

I read quite a bit of books which mostly happened during long flights, quick lunch breaks, before going to bed at night, etc. I must admit, I have struggled to get my reading on because of how busy I have gotten but 5 books? Not too shabby. My favorite reads of the summer are: The Originals by Adam Grant and All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body

Launching TheUfuoma Blog

TheUfuoma Blog is certainly one of the highlights of summer for me and I couldn’t be more pleased that it happened because I nursed the thought for the longest time. I bought the domain name in March 2015 so you can imagine how much procrastination happened. I kept waiting for the right time but truth is, there is never a right time, just do it. I am so thankful for all the love and support and I really look forward to this blogging journey.

If we wait until we are ready, we’ll be waiting for the rest of our lives

What I Wish Happened Differently

I wish I had formed new friendships or improved my existing ones. I left it too late and started to keep in touch with people a lot more but I definitely wish it happened earlier. Great friends are so important.

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning but, anyone can start today and make a new ending

Looking forward to summer 2017

I am already looking forward to summer 2017. I am pretty sure it will not be so different from this year but who knows what life has in store? I hope it brings only joy, laughter and great memories.

Isn’t it pretty amazing to know that some of the best days of our lives have not even happened yet?

So, that’s how I spent my summer and now it’s your turn. What did you do for summer 2016? What do you wish you had done a little differently? Itching to hear from you in the comments.

Till next time,
