Adventures in *British Columbia*
It was my graduation this past week (hurray!) Your girl has gone and bagged herself a Master’s degree in Global Business. Future global leader in the making. Amen? I am so thankful for this degree- sometimes you get so much more out of a degree than just a paper.
It was a time of celebration with family and friends and yet again, another opportunity to travel to the beautiful west coast for an incredibly amazing milestone. Going back to British Columbia was always going to be awesome because in my opinion, it is the most beautiful province in Canada and straight up just feels like home. Can I just briefly rant about ticket prices within Canada? Meh. Canadian airlines need to take lessons from their neighbours in the states by offering better rates for travels within the country. Capiche?
Anyway, here are some pictures of my adventures this weekend. Just chipping in that my mum came from Nigeria for two days just to see her baby graduate (God bless that woman.) She also came through with some bomb Banga Soup. Blessss. Okay, enough ranting and let’s get into this.
First off, we had to go from Vancouver to Victoria where the graduation was holding and I wanted my mum and family to experience the Gulf Islands, Vancouver Islands and Delta, British Columbia and the surest way to achieve this was by taking the BC Ferries. The experience on BC Ferries is also worthy of a mention: Wining and dining with a great view? Not a bad shout. It was worth it and we had a great time. More information on BC Ferries here.
After the graduation, we made it back to Vancouver for the rest of the weekend. It was so gloomy and it rained the entire time. We had planned to do some water activities and visit a few places but that couldn’t happen thanks to the weather. (Did someone say traveler’s woe?)
I love British Columbia, Canada’s westernmost province. I love just how different it is from other parts of Canada. It houses beautiful cities like Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna, Surrey. How I miss living there! The only drawback is the rain. It practically rained all through the weekend and that impeded all the plans. Regardless, it was nice to be back to where it all began and I am already looking forward to going back there again in the nearest future.
I hope you are doing okay and do not forget to subscribe so you can stay in the loop of things.
Till next time,
