Four years ago, I left my good-paying job in Lagos, Nigeria to pursue a Master’s degree in Canada. I was clueless on what I was doing, I had no roadmap, I only had faith as tiny as a mustard seed and willpower and off I went.
I cannot believe I wrote that – that I am headed to my 30th country. It is so unreal to know I will now have visited not one, not two, not three but thirty countries on this beautiful planet.
On a scale of 0-10, how crazy do I look right now? I am going to the other side of the world (about 13,623 kilometres) by myself, and excited about it.

Some travels are more special than others, and this is one of them. I will reunite with one of my best friends in Bermuda in a few days and I couldn’t be more excited. Seeing my friend after three years while traveling to a new country means I am totally eating my cake and having it.
It’s been nearly three months since I last hopped on a plane, and boy, have I missed that. Due to a couple of reasons, I had to slowdown my travels at the end of 2017. I am thankful for the privilege and ability to travel and I do not take any of it for granted….
