Breezing through Miami

Miami was the cherry on top of a good vacation in the Bahamas. I had heard so much about it and was so excited to finally visit this much talked about city. Really trying to live up to one of my favorite quotes “it is better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times.” Miami, though, is one of those places I wouldn’t want to see just once.

It was my birthday too and it was just perfect timing to be spending it in the beautiful city. We had just come back from an awesome girl’s trip to Bahamas which you can read all about here. Miami wasn’t always the plan but it is just a 1-hour flight from the Bahamas so sneaking it in last minute seemed like a pretty good idea.

I have to mention that Miami has a really beautiful airport and it was well lit even in the daytime. Soon as we landed, I knew it was going to be, well, lit.

You would think that we will be tired of the beach at this point, but we made our way to South Beach Miami straight from the airport.

Bless them for providing a really inexpensive shuttle service from the airport to South Beach. It cost about $2.30 per trip, an Uber ride would have been close to $50 so yay to saving some money.

I ended up spending most of that extra money on food anyway, good thing I don’t look like what I eat. Haha. In case you were wondering, the shuttle was really comfortable, air conditioned, had great leg room, all the works! If you find yourself in Miami Airport trying to get to South Beach, you should totally go for it and save yourself a couple dollars.

I love just how energetic Miami is. It was a Monday but it was still so vibrant. I live in a fairly quiet city so it is always nice to get a shake up here and there, get away from my routine and discover a whole new city. If Miami isn’t already on your travel list, you should chuck it in somewhere because, why not?
